An Ashtanga practice group is being held Saturdays mornings (9:00
to 10:30) at the Atwood Community
Center on Atwood Ave. This community practice is free and open
to anyone familiar with the traditional Ashtanga series and
practitioners are asked to make a small donation ($3-$5) to the
center, as their ability permits. We begin with the Ashtanga chant, then flow through the series in silence. Note: This is a self lead practice, conducted in silence. There is time before and after the practice for discussion and socializing. We have met for a number of Saturdays now, and it's a great way to share practice time with others. Individuals who are attending include Ashtanga teachers and advanced practitioners as well as many who just recently started practicing under the guidance of a qualified Ashtanga Yoga teacher. Practitioners who have been attending regular Ashtanga lessons, should have no problem following others in the group as we move between asanas. Those practicing on their own without the support of a group should also consider attending. Please email Kathleen Krchnavek for more information. | ||
